Departing and arriving trains at Hohenzollern Bridge

Hohenzollern Bridge behind the dome with trains and peopleWhen you enter Cologne by train, you might use Hohenzollern Brücke / Bridge in order to arrive at Central Station. It is said that that Hohenzollern Bridge is one of the most driven bridges (by train) in Germany. However - there are also moments where no train is departing or leaving Central Station. The 2:26 minutes fieldrecording starts with a gentle beat being produced by an entering ICE train and the call of a magpie (Elster). A little boy says:”Ein ganz langer Zug (A very long train)!”. His father agrees; and grandma anounces the next “long” ICE train. The magpie is still calling and the horns from a couple of sport fans are closing the scenery. Remember: We are not standing on the bridge but at the beginning (or end), close to the station.
