rmxCGN - Kölner Klänge neu gemischt
Einmal im Jahr erscheint rmxCGN, ein Musikalbum mit Remixen, die durch Musiker, Klangkünstler oder DJs entstehen. Die verschiendenen Künstler greifen bei ihren Arrangements und Kompositionen auf das bestehende Klangarchiv der Soundmap zurück und kreieren mit den Klangschnipseln neue Klangwelten für Köln.

2008 wurde die erste rmxCGN veröffentlicht. Das kostenlose Downloadpaket enthält fünf Musikstücke,  das Cover,  die Liste der teilnehmenden Künstler und Projektinfos in Englischer Sprache.

rmxCGN - Remixing the Soundmap of Cologne
In summer 2008 the crew from Soundmap of Cologne invited musicians, remixers and homerecordists for the first time to use any fieldrecording(s) employed on the soundmap; to compose, mash-up or re-produce what ever kind of acoustic soundscape from Cologne city.
All songs/music/compos that had been submitted; have now been released on the EP rmxCGN - Remixing the Soundmap of Cologne.The EP appeared on konkretourist netlabel and is free for download.
